CONDITIONS OF USE AND HIRE

1. Any letting is undertaken at the hirers own risk. The Ystradfellte Church Hall Management Committee is not responsible for any accidents or injuries incurred.
2. The Ystradfellte Church Hall Management Committee is not responsible for the loss of or damage to personal possessions brought into the Hall.
3. Keep emergency exits clear at all times.
4. The Hall has been designed to be as environmentally friendly as possible; please respect this by turning off lights and other items requiring power when they are not needed.
5. Respect our community by minimising any disturbance to residents, especially after 9.00 pm and when leaving the hall
6. Hirers are responsible for meeting the costs of any breakages or damage to the hall or its fixtures and fittings. Any such damage must be reported to the Booking Secretary.
7. Hirers to leave the hall clean and tidy and check all doors and windows are closed before leaving the building.
8. To keep the hall in a good decorative state, do not attach any items to the walls.
9. Hirers may be asked to pay a £100 deposit at the time of booking for one-off events. This is refundable if the booking is cancelled three weeks or more before the date of event.
10. For bookings from people outside the parish of Ystradfellte, the balance of the charge must be paid in full two weeks before the date of the event.
11. Hirers to contact the Booking Secretary about any problems.

13. Safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults. You must ensure that any activities for children, young people and other vulnerable adults are only provided by fit and proper persons in accordance with the relevant legislation. When requested, you must provide us with a copy of your Safeguarding Policy and evidence that you have carried out relevant checks through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
14. Hirers are responsible for close supervision of any children on the premises as there is a Graveyard yard next door with potential trip hazards and also in close proximity to a road with traffic hazards. Children under the age of 10 must be supervised by an adult when in the kitchen area. No children under 14 to be left unsupervised on the premises.
15. Hirers are responsible for the removal of all rubbish they create during the hire period. This must be taken away by the hirer at the end of hire and disposed of appropriately. Any rubbish left behind will incur an additional charge, with all or part of the deposit being retained.
16. Hirers are responsible for checking the safety of their own electrical equipment if used.
17. Hirers must ensure that the Hall maximum capacity is not exceeded and if any stage, furniture is required from the basement that the trolley provided is used to properly carry them.
18. Hirers to be shown the following before use
1. Location of fire exits, fire extinguishers, fire assembly point, fuse box, cleaning materials.
2. Any instructions for use of projector, dishwasher, heating etc as required.
I confirm that I have read and understood these conditions of hire and that I have been shown the items in 17 above.
